Nobody should have to work this hard to eat.
Platebook is for people sorting out a new food allergy or intolerance. It tracks what you eat and how you feel, then finds recipes to match.

Learn what works for you. Get recipes that match.

Tell us once.
Add your allergies, conditions, diets and the phase you’re in. Every recipe gets checked against all of them together, not one filter at a time.

Cook what fits.
Browse only the recipes that passed every check, and pick dinner without ruling things out one ingredient at a time.
Change course without starting over.
Your safe foods and recipes automatically update for each phase change and food trial.
Keep your protocol current.
Mark a new phase, or a flare, as soon as it happens. Your foods and recipes change with it, so you never rebuild a list by hand.

Our hope is to keep the core Platebook site free for users. Over time, we expect to launch additional capabilities that might require upgrading to a paid tier, but nothing is set yet. In the meantime, we are committed to making the site accessible for as wide of an audience as possible.
Choose from more than two dozen conditions, including celiac, IBS on a low-FODMAP diet, Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis, EoE, MCAS, gastroparesis, GERD, alpha-gal syndrome and diabetes. For allergies, we support the nine major allergens plus others such as gluten, corn, mustard, nightshades and additives like spirulina. For diets, there are a range of choices from vegan to kosher and halal.
Yes. Start by logging what you eat and how you feel. Once there’s enough to go on, we look for the pattern with you, and you can try a food you suspect in a trial. A pattern is an observation, not a diagnosis.
Every recipe’s ingredients are checked against every condition, allergy and strict diet on your protocol before you see it. If we can’t match an ingredient, the recipe is held back. If we can’t check one of your allergies yet, we say so. The check is only as good as the ingredient list, so keep reading labels.
Our current database of thousands of recipes comes from various food websites on the web. Platebook checks each recipe’s ingredients and textures against your protocol and shows you only the ones that fit, then sends you to the author’s page for the steps. Every recipe names its author and links back.
